A trio of Kenyan pots, hand-fired of clay and bound together by thin wood beams and thin wood sheets.
The pots have a stippled design and a floral motif on their centre front, adding dimension to the otherwise smooth and bulbous silhouettes.
These pots would have been used to store smaller household and cookery objects such as tealeaves and spices, or even pigments.
*Our pieces at Studio Zagara may show signs of age and wear, which is just how we like them. They carry with them years of history, so any imperfections should not be viewed as damaged or flawed, but rather the combined stories of people’s lives and experiences.
