Antique Wooden Vessel, made of teak with decorative etched marks lining the shoulders of the vessel, leading to a widening base.
It contains a mouth with a rim that opens outwards like a tulip, and two small pieces of teak plastered on the lower end of the vessel, implying previous repair.
Teak's natural oils make it exceedingly durable in exposed locations, and make the timber termite, pest, moisture and rot resistant.
*Our pieces at Studio Zagara may show signs of age and wear, which is just how we like them. They carry with them years of history, so any imperfections should not be viewed as damaged or flawed, but rather the combined stories of people’s lives and experiences.
