The Bertoncello 986 Vase designed by Roberto Rigon in the 1960s and ‘70s, the Italian ceramicist collaborated with Giovanni Bertoncello for a number of years to create a series of sculptural earthenware pieces that were known for playing with geometry and shape, light and unexpected structures for the period.
Featuring the signature glazing “Screziato”, in tobacco, this moon shaped piece dons a calming rusted like base tone with a range of burnt orange and sandy hues speckled throughout, adding a graphic, almost fire-like visual texture to this otherwise smooth exterior.
